Transformer oil is the main insulation and cooling medium of oil-immersed transformers, and its electrical strength and chemical composition is good or bad, which directly affects the performance of the transformer. If the oil contains a small amount of water and impurities, it will make the insulation strength decline; and the oil is in contact with oxygen, easy to oxidation and deterioration at high temperatures. Therefore, transformer oil filtration should be carried out when the transformer is installed.



Prevent oil quality deterioration and the resulting safe operation of the impact, should be normal operation of the distribution of regular oil samples for laboratory analysis, according to the results of the analysis of the oil for the relevant treatment. Distribution operation oil chemical supervision of the inspection cycle is specified at least once every 3 years.
